OUR VISION

We envision an effective ministry for producing well-educated, dedicated disciples of Jesus Christ.  Students will be taught with excellence the basics of education.  However, instruction will not be limited to academic fundamentals – it will include Biblical life fundamentals.  To do this, we will follow the example of the greatest discipler, Jesus Christ, who did not depend on great facilities or externals but poured His life into a small group of men on a daily basis, teaching and interacting with them.

 

We envision producing graduates with a Christian worldview knowing what they believe and why they believe it, as well as willingness to take a strong stand for Christ in an ungodly, humanistic culture.  They will be active participants in the task Christ has given to His church to “go into all the world and make disciples of all nations” (Matt 28:19).  As they disciple, the students will be reproducing themselves in the lives of others.

 

We envision the discipleship aspect of UBCS will be most obvious in the interaction between staff and students.  However, parents also need to be involved in the discipleship process since God’s Word puts the ultimate responsibility for the child in the hands of the parents.  The school will thus promote and facilitate discipleship for the parents.  The human resources of UBC and other life giving local churches will be used to benefit all the students, parents, and staff.  This will be demonstrated in active mentoring and available counseling for the entire school family.

 

We envision accomplishing God’s vision for our school with the total commitment of everyone involved – staff, students, and parents.  All must be willing to become involved in the lives of others, to submit when necessary, and to sacrifice to assist each other.  Parents must be willing to have their children involved in such a discipleship program and be willing to be involved themselves.

 

 

DIRECTIONS TO THE SCHOOL

From the South on US Route 91: (From Wells River, VT and some points South)
Go North on US Route 91 and get off at Exit 20. Stay left on the ramp and at the end of the exit turn left onto US Route 5. Continue on US 5 for 1.32 miles and turn left into the parking lot of the church.

From the North on US Route 91: (From Newport, VT, and Canada)
Go South on US Route 91 and get off at Exit 20. Stay right and at the end of the exit ramp turn right onto US Route 5. Continue on US 5 for 1.32 miles and turn left into the parking lot of the church.

From the East on US Route 93: (From Littleton, NH and points East)
Go North on US Interstate 93. Take the US Interstate 91 exit North toward Saint Johnsbury and merge onto I-91 North. Stay to the right on the merge for about .2 mile and immediately take Exit 20 to the right. Stay left on the Exit ramp to the intersection. At the end of the exit turn left onto US Route 5. Continue on US 5 for 1.32 miles and turn left into the parking lot of the church.

From the West on US Route 2 East: (From Danville, VT and some points West)
Go East on US Route 2 take the I-91 ramp south toward White River Junction. Merge onto US Interstate 91 South and travel approximately 1.26 mile to Exit 20. Take Exit 20 towards Saint Johnsbury. Turn right onto US 5 South. Continue on US 5 for 1.32 miles and turn left into the parking lot of the church.
