No matter who you are or where you're coming from, it is our hope that you will find UBC to be a welcoming community of believers. We seek to create an open atmosphere right as you walk in the door as members of our community greet you and answer any questions you might have during your initial visit with us. Our Sunday morning Worship Experience is welcoming and casual. You can wear a suit and tie, jeans, or shorts if you want. Our community of believers all dress differently according to how they feel most comfortable.

If you're new, we realize that everyone is at a different place in their spiritual journey and we know how uncomfortable churches can feel when you are checking things out for the first time.  We hope that our church never feels that way to you, so if you’re new to UBC and plan to visit on Sunday, here are some practical things you’ll want to know.

Union Baptist Church is an accessible facility. If you require wheelchair access, designated parking or seating, or additional assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask one of our greeters or ushers.

Community Prayer begins at 8:45 a.m. during our Summer Schedule
This is a special time on Sunday morning where you are invited to participate in
prayer for the needs of our congregation and community. You can bring your own
needs or simply pray for the needs of others as we go before our Father.

Sunday School Classes begins at 9:00 a.m.
During the academic year, we have classes for everyone ages 3+ with the youngest
members of our community welcome to stay with their parents or be cared for in our
fully-staffed nursery. Just ask someone in our community and they should be able
to help you find the right classes for you and anyone you bring with you.

Our Sunday School classes are on haitus for the summer. We will resume them
when we resume our Academic Year Schedule in September.

Corporate Worship begins at 9:30 a.m. during our Summer Schedule
Our sanctuary has plenty of seating both on the ground floor and in the
balcony. Our aim during the worship service is that everything from the
music to the teaching would be full of truth and pointing to Christ. The music part of
our worship is neither strictly traditional
or modern as we like to focus in on songs
that glorify God no matter what era or
style they were written in.

Our nursery provides childcare for children 0-2 years of age both for Sunday
School and during the service. All childcare workers in the nursery and Adventure
Zone have been through a background check and are ChildSafe certified. You
will be asked to sign your child in and out of the nursery for their safety and your
       peace of mind.

The Adventure Zone is an option for children ages 3-5 during the service if you
decide you would like to take advantage of that. Just as in the nursery,
all of our childcare workers are ChildSafe certified and you will be asked to
sign your child in and out of Adventure Zone for their safety. Your child will
play with toys, interact with other children his/her age, have a snack and watch
       a short video about God.

Our church community is very welcoming if you decide you would like to keep your
children with you during the service. Our library at the top of the stairs is open only to
mothers with children and/or nursing mothers in case you need to slip out in order to
attend to them. The service is also televised in the library, our nursery, and
Adventure Zone so you won't have to miss any part of the service while caring for
your little ones. We also have a kids' table right outside the ground floor of the
sanctuary that is equipped with Children's bulletins, books, and crayons for their use
during the service if you want to keep little hands busy.
