I Peter 3:6
(2 Cor. 4:8–9). We are more than conquerors through Christ who strengthens us, and we will not be overcome. God is our strength. Jesus is our defender. The Holy Spirit is our portion. And in the name of our God and Savior, we will choose to love him. We will choose to bow down in surrendered worship to our God. And by the power of Christ in us, we will choose to rise up and be women of God, bringing his kingdom in unyielding and merciful strength."

Women - Echoing God's Beauty
Regardless of your age or stage in life, we hope you will join the women of UBC in a movement of the gospel in hearts and lives. Any woman willing to surround herself with other Christians, not only to challenge and encourage, but also to help one another stand firm and follow Christ is welcome. You don't have to be a regular attender or member of UBC to take part.
Our Ladies Ministry strives to provide biblically based, practical studies that touch on all levels of spiritual growth and maturity. Its our hope that by joining in any of these studies that you will be able to apply the truths we study together and will find your connection to God deepen as He works in and through the materials and teachers.
To find out more about any of our classes you can visit the class information under the Resources tab on the website and click on Studies and Classes.
Precept Ministries establishes God's people in His Word using Inductive Bible Study methods. “Inductive” means using the Bible as the primary source of study to learn about God and what the Bible teaches. It serves as an arm of the church without respect to denomination. Each study gives you the key to understanding the Bible through three skills; Observation (discover what it says), Interpretation (discover what it means), and Application (discover how it works). Class time includes connecting through discussion of the material studied at home and a summarizing video with Kay Arthur.
Precepts is an ongoing study, except for a short break in the summer, meeting every other Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Childcare Provided) and Thursday from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. We are currently studying Romans Part 1- Freed from Sin's Penalty which covers Romans Chapter 1-5. More information on that class can be found by visiting "Studies and Classes" under the Resources Tab.
If you are interested, but unsure whether or not this is something you would like to commit to, please come and observe a class anytime. We would love to have you.
Beginning Monday, September 4th, the Women's Ministry will be doing their first ever online study on Facebook. The study will be facilitated by Tricia Augeri and will last for approximately 10 weeks, studying a chapter a week.
Every woman struggles with times of waiting—for a spouse, a child, a job. In Wait and See, Wendy Pope guides women to focus on the Person of their faith rather than the object of their wait. Pope draws on the story of King David, who was anointed king nearly twenty years before he took his throne.
This hands-on guidebook invites women to record their own waiting discoveries. With practical suggestions and real-life stories, Pope shows you how you can be active in the present as you hope for the future.
More information on that class can be found by visiting "Studies and Classes" under the Resources Tab.
Sunday Bible Class
On weekends during the academic year we have a class specifically for women during the Bible Class Hour. Together, we explore scripture and topics related to godliness and femininity.
Our current class is "Listening for God through James" from the Lectio Divina Bible Studies.
One of the primary vehicles of intentional discipleship in the UBC community is our Apples of Gold ministry. Apples is a six-week mentoring ministry for women where we seek to establish relationships that allow for growth in the use of godly principles and to impart practical tools to enable women to relate to daily issues. We begin each evening with practical cooking demonstrations accompanied with the sharing of household tips. From there we move into a topical Bible study based on Titus 2:3-5. The study culminates with a special meal.
If you are interested in being part of a future Apples study, or if you would like to be mentored by one of the women in our community, please contact us and we'll be in touch.
As a body of Christ, community and life together come in many different ways. The way we engage with one another changes from year to year, but we seek to provide many other opportunities for our women to connect through conferences, events, weekly scrapbooking and annual scrapbooking retreats, and crafting. To stay informed of community events for our women, please keep checking the events page or contact us with your questions.
