For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...
God gives all of us different gifts and passions with some wishing to serve inside the church, others wishing to be more in the community, and still others with a vision for the world. Whatever your heart is, we have a place for you at UBC. If you see a ministry or open position that you would be perfect for, just contact us below about your interest and we'll get you connected.

Serve in our church
Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.
There are many ways to get involved in serving at UBC and there is a place for everyone. From serving in our children's and youth ministries, to greeting people at the door; being involved in Sunday Morning Worship either performing or on the technical side. We'd love to talk with you about where you see yourself serving at UBC.
How do I volunteer?
You can either fill out the form with the button above that says "Sign up to Serve" or you can take a look at some of the ministries we have listed on our ministry pages to get a feel for what is available. A great place to start is actually to attend our Class 101: Discovering Church Membership. Even if you're not committed to becoming a member yet, it's a great place to talk about ministries to volunteer in at UBC.
How do I volunteer with kids?
There are a ton of opportunities to get involved with our next generation ministries. A great start is to contact Roberta McKinney, our Children's Ministry Director, to see where she most needs help. From our Prime Time After-School Program, to serving in nursery, to being a snack-maker there is room for everyone who wants to be involved. All of our volunteers in the nursery and children's ministries must undergo training and a background check before being able to serve.
How do I volunteer with music?
Brett Gale is the deacon who oversees our music. You can get in touch with him directly through our church directory (ask for one in the church office) or you can fill out the form above. We'd love to talk with you about your musical gifts and skills.
How do I volunteer with youth?
Our IGNITE leaders are an incredible group of individuals who partner with parents to nurture and grow their junior high and high schoolers. IGNITE Leaders come in a variety of ways from those willing to work with teens every week to those willing to go on weekend retreats and special events. If you're interested in working with IGNITE, contact Seth Powers to see where you might be most needed. All of our volunteers with IGNITE must undergo training and a background check before serving.
